One-to-one Training aboard your own yacht
Often, the days are used to develop confidence or competence when a new or unfamiliar yacht has just entered the family. Occasionally, I have helped out partnerships stretched beyond normal tolerances by the unaccustomed stresses of short-handed cruising, and years of Yachtmaster Instructor Examining have helped give me the tact that may be required. I even have taken beginners right through to ocean passagemaking level but, more frequently, I am simply asked by experienced people to prepare them for a Yachtmaster exam or a 'first time foreign'. Clients have included a family who opted to have my wife and I steer them from novice status to Ocean Yachtmaster in one year, leaving them in the West Indies running their own modern 60-foot sloop. Many have been less ambitious than that, but I've made a lot of friends through this work. If you think I may be able to sort out some issues for you, hail me via the contact form.
